Hi friends,
Today I am posting my Chinese Almond Cookies recipe for the Cricut Holiday Cookie Swap. I am in Group 3 and we required to do an 8" by 8" scrapbook recipe page. We have 20 people per group and will receive back 20 recipe pages that will fill my 8" by 8" scrapbook. The Chinese Almond Cookie recipe is a family tradition and I love making these every year for Christmas. The ground up almond really makes this cookie and they are ready for Christmas with the red and green colored sugar on top. I hope you enjoy them. Thanks goes out to Amy S. for putting this together and distributing the pages to everyone. I hope we can do this again next year!

Cricut HH Halloween Decoration-Family Portrait Wallhanging
Here is my family portrait using Happy Hauntings. This is my favorite Halloween cartridge. It has cool frames to go along with the images so I used them to make my family portrait. It was alot of fun to do. I wanted to make this last year and never got to it. Happy Halloween everyone!

Cricut Calling Cards for Ohio Cricut CHA Meetup at Kings Island
Hi Everyone,
I am finally getting around to posting my Cleveland Rocks calling cards that I made for the Ohio CHA Cricut Meetup on 7/22/11 at Kings Island. I used the Nifty Fifties cartridge and used 1950's colors-bright light blue, pink and green for the main colors. I later added a the final color-purple for me. Took two trips to Pat Catan's to get the correct colors. I cut out 400+ mini music notes and hand glued each one. The records also had 4 mini pop dots behind them ( 4 x 135 cards). I made 135 calling cards and came home with about 40. By the time I cut everything out for these cards and the magnets, I thought I did my expression in for good. These simple cards took alot of material and time to make since I made so many but I do love them! Enjoy!

Boulevard of Flag pics
Here are my Blvd of Flag pics from July 4th. I also have pics of Cricut plushie in front of the Olympic Torch.
Cricut Pennant Contest entry for Ohio trip
Cricut had a pennant contest for the Ohio trip. You had to use the Birthday Bash cartridge and use pages 58-71 pennants. I picked the pennant shaped like the State of Ohio Flag and decorated the background to match the State of Ohio Flag. I did take a liberty in using red star paper instead of just red paper for the red stripes. I decorated the pennant with rows of flags and the olympic torch in honor of the Boulevard of Flags in Eastlake, Oh. The Boulevard of Flags honors all Eastlake residents who have served our country with a Flag. It is a cool place to visit. They also have the Olympic torch there from when it came through Eastlake and burns eternally. They have also included items to remember the 9/11 incidents. I took pics from my trip there on July 4th. Please see below. It was very cool to walk into the Ohio Cricut Meetup and see my pennant on the wall.

Patriotic cards using punches and cuttlebug
Hi All. I designed these cards for the Cards for Soldiers-red,white and blue theme. The paper is from Joann's and very cool. The sayings are from Cuttlebug. I used the Martha Stewart starbust punch for the light blue star burst and the red star border punch is EK Success. The red star in the blue starburst is recycled from the red star border punch and has a glue dot behind it. So reuse your scraps from your punches. I also added a few clear gems on the red star border for some added bling. Thanks for stopping by.
Father's Day Cards using Nifty Fifties cartridge
Happy Father's Day to all the Father's out there. I came up with this design since my father is into 50's and 60's cars. My Dad has alaways been there for me and I wanted to make him a card he would enjoy. On this card I used silver metallic paper on the headlights and behind the stamp for that chrome look. I also pop dotted the headlights so they would stand out. TFL.
Card for Claire-4/17/11 using wrapping paper background
This card was made for Claire, my stepson's fiance. Her favorite colors are fushia/pink and black so I found this great wrapping paper at Hallmark and knew it was just what I needed for her card. I just love this birthday stamp, also perfect for this card. Claire is starting to make cards so I got her pastel cardstock, tape runners and a gift certificate to Pat Catans. Claire had a Hawaiin themed birthday party and it was a good time.

Princess Paper Doll Birthday Card
Hi again!
Two posts in one day, I am on a roll! Here is a pic of the card I made for my 2nd cousin Olivia who turned 7 yrs old last week (and my flower girl in my wedding 4 1/2 years ago). She is a sweetheart and I couldn't resist making this card for her. I used the Cricut Paper Doll cartridge for all of the images and cut out a 4.5 inch person and used cream cardstock 5x7". The castle was cut at 5 inches also. The dress is the wedding dress and was cut out of pink glitter paper using the heavy duty blue cricket blade. The shoes and staff were also cut out of the pink glitter paper. I used glue dots on the princess so she can be removed for playtime. I also cut extra outfits for the princess and stored them in a pocket on the inside of the card. TFL.

Cards for Soldiers
So I found this great group on the cricut message board and decided to join. My stepson was in Iraq two years ago and I know how difficult it is for them over there. Never enough supplies and everyone shares whatever they can. I am glad I can contribute something to others serving over seas. Here are a few pics of my first 20 cards. I did some stamping on the birthday cards with a stamp pad with a multiple color stamp pad and the rest of the cards were made using the cuttlebug/sizzix dies. I hope you like them. :)

Valentine's Party last night
Hi,
I thought I would add some pics of the Valentine's party I went to last night. This is a yearly event and the house and food are always fabulous. I made chocolate covered strawberries for the party. I hope these pics get you ready for Valentine's Day tomorrow.
Enjoy!

Valentine's Snow Globe Card
Hi everyone,
I finally got around to posting my valentine cards. I used my cricut carts- Joys of the Season for the Snow Globe and Winter Woodland for the Snowman. I love these two carts and wanted to use them on something non-traditional. I also used blue glitter paper for the globe. I used various heart punches.
Thanks for looking and Happy Valentine's Day!

Good Cricut Buys
Hi. Crazy week at work this week. Probably won't get much crafting in until this weekend. I did get a C Gull Cricut Cartridge Tote from cricutmachine.com. It is a great buy. Holds 72 cartridges, overlays and books. Just love it. I did organize all of my cartridges in it today. Very happy with it. Cricutmachine.com has good prices on cartridges too. Bought a couple the other day. Enjoy! :)

My First Post & New Year's Resolutions-January 2, 2011
Hi Everyone. This is my first post and since it is the beginning of the year, it guess it is time for some resolutions:
1) Scrap more!
2) Use exisiting scrap paper and supplies. The paper is taking over my house.
3) Scrap occassional projects just for myself. I do alot of cards for everyone else and have not been working on my scrapbooks or cards just because. I always seem to make things for a reason and not just for fun.
4) Setup scrap blog! Ok I accomplished this today! :) Been following a few blogs from the cricut site and decided I want to try this.
5) The hardest one by far: start working out and diet. This will not start for about 10 days due to work schedule. Tentative date a week from Thursday for diet. Will start working out by next weekend to jump start diet. Got a Wii for xmas and just dance dvd's and will be ready for some dancing. Just need to make some room in the guest bedroom.
Time to feed Kittyscraps! Good night all.
