Tim Holtz-12 Tags of 2014-May

Hi Fellow Bloggers,

Happy Saturday everyone!  Tim Holtz has done it again-another great tag for May.  This month was really fun since we get to use our embellishment stash.  So here is Tim's Tag!

Here is my tag!  Every month I make two tags- one for me and one for mom.  So this month I decided to make Mom a Mother's Day tag!  I have four generations of the women in my family on this tag-great-grandma, grandma, mom and me!  I am the baby with the alfalfa do in the baby tub.  I used all Tim Holtz items on this tag except the glue and Ranger juniper paint on the ornate frame.  I used the Wallpaper cardstock on this tag and just love it!  I got to use some of my older embellishments: S charm, pen nib, ornate frame and plastic rectangular facet over the pic in lower right corner.  I used the following stains for the background of the tag: crushed olive, peeled paint, evergreen bough and broken china.  I also added vintage photo and walnut stain inks.

I hope you enjoyed my tag and have a good day!

Tim Holtz-12 Tags of 2014-March

Hi Everyone!

Well, doesn't look like Spring is starting anytime soon with the several inches of snow we got last night.  But at least Tim is trying to inspire us with this month's tag.  The first picture is Tim;s tag and the second is mine.  I really enjoyed Tim's new Air diffuser.  Pretty cool!  I also like his new stamp we used.  Such nice detail.  So onto the tags:

Tlhanks for stopping by!

A Child's Year and Wild Card-Anniversary card for DH

I used the Wild Card cart for the Heart card and heart cutout.
I used A Child's Year for the child cut out with the shadow behind them in black.
I used burgundy, mulberry, creme and black paper.

Wedding Scrapbook for DSS

Hi everyone!  Here is a few pics from the scrapbook I am making for my DSS.  I had previous posts of The Red Shoes and Gotta Wear Shades which were used on the Cricut Fanatics blog a few months back and were from this same scrapbook.  For this layout I used a wedding picture of my DSS and his new wife and recreated it using the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut Cartridge.  I have been working on this layout since last summer.  I am still going to make a few changes yet but here are the pictures.  I hope you like it.

Goodbye to Archivers-The best papercrafting store in my area!

It was so sad to hear that Archiver's was closing after all of the reorganizing they did over the last year.  Since they are basically a family owned company, they can't compete with the bigger stores!  So sad.  They had the best service-employees, products, classes, scraps and the Memory Lab was awesome!  Wish I could have used it more.  I had two stores an hour away from me and would drive out there a few times a year.  I learned how to stamp, emboss and make creative cards at Archivers.  This is also where I learned about Tim Holtz products and how to use some of them!  I attended a few scraps at Archivers too including the one in Mason, Ohio for the CHA Cricut Gathering in July 2011.  What a great event!  Two nights at Archivers with 100 circlettes!  What is the Mall of America-Scrapfest going to be without Archivers hosting it?

I hope Archiver's will try to come back in some form into the scrapping world.  I did order my Archiver's bag which I will use with pride at my future scraps!  I went to the Fairlawn store on the last night-2/15/14 and no merchandise left just some shelving, hooks and plastic bags.  Very sad to see an empty store.  They had a sold out Scrap that night and all employees there for the final night.  Sure won't be the same without them!  Thanks for all of the great memories Archivers!  Here are some pictures from the store in Fairlawn, Ohio a few days after they announced their closing in January.

Christmas Tree at Archivers-1/10/14

New Valentine's Products at Archiver's-loved these racks!  Could get the new products here in my area. Otherwise only on the internet.

Archiver's Memory Lab

Archiver's Memory Lab-other side-loved it!  Could make digital scrap books, scan your 12 x12 pages, make cd's of pictures, calendars, cards, whatever.  Even get other media changed to CD rom!  I did this with my Wedding and reception video tapes.

Archiver's had two rooms for scrapbooking.  This is only one room and could see out into the store.  20% off when in scrapbooking.

My favorite-Card Classes!  I took a Tim Holtz Christmas Vintage card class a few years back!
So farewell to my friends at Archiver's!  Thanks for the great memories.  Currently the website is still available to order products as of this post.  See everyone later.

Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2014-January-The forgotten post

Hi everyone!  Apparently I forgot to post my tag for January and more importantly forgot to post it on Tim's blog! :(  I had to completed in plenty of time and still did not get it posted!  Better late than never I guess.  Here is a picture of Tim's tag for January.

My Tag photographed on 3 different papers for effect.  I used all Tim Holtz products except for the Baker's Twine and the Darice steampunk embossing folder.  I used my TH Love, Wish, Dream stamp since I did not have the same stamp as TH.  I added an a small TH light bulb since I have not used these yet.  I like how it looks with the light bulb.  The paper is from Jillibean Soup-Irish Farmhouse Soup-Sea Salt.

Same tag on Fancy Pants Collecting Moments Paper.  I like the clocks on this paper.

Same tag on Kaisercraft paper-Base Coat Collection-Cardboard.  Cool isn't it?
I hope you like my January tag.  Let me know which background you like better!  See you soon!

Valentine's Day Projects-Tim Holtz 12 Tags of 2014-February

Hi all and Happy Valentine's Day!  With all of the neverending snow we've had this year, it is nice to have Valentine's Day to look forward to.  Creating projects with a love theme is always fun and heartwarming.  Onto the fun!  First picture is of Tim Holtz's tag for February.

Here is my Valentine's Card and TAG for February.  I used 3 different embossing powder techniques on my card-stencil, glitter and regular embossing.  I stamped the xoxo.  I used heart washi tape and baker's twine to finish off my card.  I used 3 stencils on my chalkboard stamp on my tag-hearts, cargo and harlequin-bottom row.  I followed Tim's instructions to make the stencil hearts and glitter heart.  I added a trinket pin with a love charm and a red jewel charm I had in my stash.

I made another tag and added a red glitter cupid and an extra industrial sticker arrow.

Here is my table on Valentine's Day.  I made my DH a red metal bucket and glued sequin hearts on it.  I used Tim's red glitter technique to make the hearts and cupids that I attached to heart straws and used in the red heart and red metal bucket.  The bucket was filled with Valentine candies and chocolates.  I also made a Paper Mache Box and a Red Heart basket .

I painted this box with Martha Stewart Pink Taffeta Pearl Paint and added Making Memories paper on the top and top sides of box.  I decorated the box with heart sequins, Martha Stewart heart stickers and a red glitter cupid and pink glitter valentine from Making Memories.  I added red heart buttons with bakers twine threaded through them.

I added heart sequins to the sides of the red plastic heart basket. I fussy cut the hearts out of Making Memories paper I had.  It took a half hour to cut out using cutterbee scissors but worth it.  I used Tim's red glitter technique on the cupid  and heart.  The cupid was cut from the Artiste Cricut Cartridge.  The heart was cut from the TH die.  The heart straws are from Hobby Lobby.

I hope you had a wonderful Valentine's Day and stop back soon!
