December Daily/Journal Your Christmas Book 2013-Covers

Hi All,

Here are pictures of my cover which isn't finished yet.  I also have pictures of the inside covers which are completed.

I used October Afternoon-Silent Night Collection-First Noel paper for the covers.  The green color in the print is actually blue.  I wanted to put some fun in the book so I added the reindeer joke and the Cosmo Cricut Santa Helper's Name Guide.  I have been journaling my first four days and need to print some pictures out to catch up.  I am not sure what I want to do on the cover yet so that will come later.

Store Window Displays in my Hometown

Hi Eveyone,
Today I also took pictures of the store window displays in my hometown.  Here are a few pictues.
Arabica is really cool.

Christmas in my Hometown

Hi Everyone,

Today I took pictures of my Hometown decorated for Christmas.  The Decorations are from when I was a child and they are started using them a few years ago.  They are just great.  I remember these decorations from when I was small and can't believe they are using them again.  FYI-the tinsel strands contain matching lights in the same color as the tinsel which you may not see in these pictues since it is daylight.  Santa was located in the middle of the lights and there was always a long line and it was usually cold.  But worth the wait.  All of the sidewalks are lined with light strands also.  It was a beautiful day today and close to 60 degrees.  It has been in the 30's for the last two weeks.  Good day for a walk and for taking pictues.

This is a three person snowball fight.  The person in the middle lights up and switches sides and throws snowballs.  The white circles light up as snowballs.  Santa is the o top of the silver/white tower and is throwing down snowballs onto a elf below.

Steampunk Spells-Fall Mini Album Swap

Hi bloggers, I made a Graphic 45 Steampunk Spells Halloween mini album for our Cricut swap. My exchange partner was Ms. Chewie. I followed the pocket mini album page tutorials by Ginger-My Sisters Scrapper and used the Hinge system by Kathy Orta. Love this pocket page mini album. I did take me about 24 hours to make. Here are the pics:

Cricut Fall Mini Swap 2013

Hi Everyone! My swap partner was Ms. Chewie. I just wanted to Thank Ms. Chewie for my Halloween Mini album and all of the terrific goodies! It looks like Ms. Chewie used the Recollections paper line of Haunted. Ms. Chewie used lots of bling, washi tape, sticks, bats and ghosts with googly eyes, and Tim Holtz Blue Print stamps with glitter. My favorite are the Tim Holtz blue print stamps and the stamp of the Gray Cat and the pumpkin at the end of the book. She also has Halloween pocket tags inside each page. I love them. Here are the pics.

Hi Everyone! I wanted to share the recipe box and recipe card that I created for the Cricut Swap. This was a great swap hosted by Sis. Here are pictures of the recipe box I sent to Misawasan.

Side of Box-Snowflake from Artiste-pg 79

Front of Box-Polar Bear and Penguin from Animal Kingdom-pgs 113-114.   Snowman is from Winter Frolic-pg 30

Inside of box-christmas tag from October Afternoon

Bottom of Recipe Box-Wooden feet added and painted.  Mod Poged bottom of box to protect it.

Card I made to go with the recipe box.  Used a tag from My Mind's Eye-All is Bright paperline 2013.
I bought a chipboard recipe box from Hobby Lobby for $3.99.  I used Martha Stewart Pearl Paint-Aquamarine to paint the recipe box.  I love this paint.  So glossy!   I used the paperline from My Mind's Eye-All is Bright 2013 for the entire recipe box and card.  I absolutely love this paper!  I edged all of the papers with Tim Holtz-Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  I also used Tim Holtz Distress Stickles Dry Glitter-Clear Rock Candy on the white paper on the snowflakes.  I also added a blue glitter brad to the center of each snowflake.  I used the Swiss dots embossing folder on the snowmen  and Divine Swirls on the polar bears.  The recipe box is such a great Christmas present.  Hopefully I will have time to make a few for Christmas!  I hope you liked my project.  See you next time!  E-
